Affiliate Disclosure

Will Gray · · 2 min read

Some articles on this site — particularly our tool roundups and "best of" guides — contain affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy, Graystone Consulting may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. In many cases you get a discount or extended trial by using our link.

Here's how we handle that responsibly.

We only recommend tools we'd use ourselves

We run a fractional-CMO and growth-operations practice. The tools we write about are, in most cases, tools we use to run our own business and our clients' — or tools we've evaluated against the alternatives. An affiliate relationship never buys a placement, a ranking, or a recommendation. If a tool isn't good, it doesn't make the list.

Commissions don't change the price you pay

Affiliate commissions are paid by the software company out of their own margin. Your price is the same whether you use our link or go direct. Where a partner offers our readers a discount or bonus, we'll say so.

We mark affiliate links clearly

Affiliate links are tagged so search engines and readers can identify them, and every article that contains them carries a disclosure at the top.

Questions

If you ever want to know whether a specific recommendation is an affiliate relationship, just ask us. We're happy to tell you.
